Gift List Blog - Big Changes at GiftList.co.uk
Yes, we know we've been quiet these past few weeks, but we've certainly not been resting on our laurels...
Even though things have been coming along nicely since the site launched, we've listened to all the feedback that we get from our users, and we realised that the way you were using the site wasn't quite as we'd expected.
Sometimes, you don't know exactly what you want for your birthday. Sometimes, you want to be inspired. This is why we've changed things.
We've built a system that now categorises everything on the site into a 3-level category structure, rather than the simple one-level structure that we had before. So whereas before, that perfect pair of jeans just waiting for you to find them might have been buried down on page 10,528 of the "Clothing" category, now you just check out our Gift Ideas section, choosing "Clothing", then "For Men" / "For Women" and then choose "Jeans"... and there they are!
We've also used this system to allow you to filter by Product Type when you do a search. So if you did a search for "Levi's" in the Clothing category, you could now choose "Clothing => For Men => Hoodies" if you were after a hoodie, and we'd only show you what you're looking for. If you then want to go back to viewing all results, just click "Clear", and we'll show you everything again.
