Here are a few questions that we occassionally get asked, so we thought you might find them useful.

What occasions can I use GiftList.co.uk for?

GiftList.co.uk can be used for any occassion where you think people will buy you presents. So whether it's your birthday, wedding, Christmas or anything else, GiftList.co.uk can take all the difficult out of choosing presents and make sure you never get a present you don't want ever again! To set up multiple lists simply create a new list. This way your birthday & Christmas lists will be separate.

I can’t find my friend's list, but I know it’s on there. Why is this?

In all likelihood, your friend has set their list as "Private". This means that only people that he / she has added as a Contact can view their List. Make sure you have logged into the site (so we know who you are) and make sure your friend has added you as a Contact.

Will GiftList.co.uk cost me anything?

GiftList.co.uk is completely free to use. When someone buys a gift through the site, our affiliate partners pay us a commission, which means we don't need to charge our users for the service.

Can I set up lists for my children?

Yes. Depending on how old they are they could probably even do it themselves!

Who am I buying from?

You are buying directly from the vendor whose website you visit. So if you see something on GiftList.co.uk that you would like to buy from Argos then you buy directly from Argos on their secure servers.

Are the products on GiftList.co.uk competitively priced?

Yes, and you have a choice of which shop you buy from.

Can I use Facebook & Twitter to tell friends & family about my Gift List?

Yes. This is very easy to do.

Does GiftList.co.uk store my Facebook / Twitter password if I choose to connect?

If you choose to connect your GiftList.co.uk profile to your Facebook and / or Twitter account, we will never have access to your username or password. Facebook and Twitter handle that side of things themselves, then simply issue us with a token that we can use to post on your behalf from the site. This token can only then be used along with a private token that we own, so no-one else could use this token to post on your behalf.

Will GiftList.co.uk share my personal information with its affiliates or any other 3rd party?

We appreciate that online privacy and security are big issues these days, and we therefore treat them very seriously. We promise that any information that you choose to tell us about yourself will never be shared with any 3rd party, and we will only use it to enhance your experience on GiftList.co.uk.

Do the prices on GiftList.co.uk include postage and packaging?

When ordering from some of our affiliates, they will add postage and packaging charges to the order. Where possible, we will include how much this charge is in the "Additional Information" tab underneath the product details. However, we may not always have this information available, so it is important to check on the affiliate's website whether they have added a postage and packaging charge before you place the order.

Will I still be able to collect loyalty points from my favourite shops if I buy through GiftList.co.uk?

Yes. You will still collect points as usual as you will still be buying directly through you favourite websites.
